World Youth Day Concludes in Australia

Pope Benedict XVI celebrated the final Mass for World Youth Day before an estimate crowd of 400,000 in Sydney, Australia, on July 20th.  Approximately 640 teens and young adults from metropolitan Detroit were in attendance.  “Do not be afraid to say ‘yes’ to Jesus, to find your joy in doing his will, giving yourself completely to the pursuit of holiness,” the Holy Father told the overflow crowd.  Earlier in the week, the Detroit pilgrims met with Bishops John Quinn and Daniel Flores in Sydney.
