New Roman MissalThe New Roman Missal

After almost a year of preparation and study to come to that "deeper grasp of the Liturgy of the Church" the church of the Archdiocese of Detroit has begun praying with the new Roman Missal. It will take time and effort and openness to the work of the Holy Spirit to pray with a new understanding and appreciation of what God is doing at the liturgy. We have begun; let us not look backward but forward!

Celebrating the Triduum With the New Missal

This workshop, presented by the Archdiocesan Worship Commission and the Office for Christian Worship, will help pastors, deacons, liturgy coordinators, worship commissions and musicians to reflect on, understand and implement the directives of the New Missal for the central celebrations of our liturgical year.

Use of the new text of the new Roman Missal began on the First Sunday of Advent, November 27, 2011.
