The Sign of the Cross

Catholics generally begin and end prayer by making the sign of the cross.  The cross is made with the right hand touching first the forehead, the navel, the left shoulder and then the right accompanied by the words.

In the name of the Father,  (touch forehead)
and the Son,   (touch navel)
and of the Holy Spirit.   (touch left and right shoulder)
Amen.
